The Opportunity
We are seeking Forward Deployed Software Engineers in Seattle, New York City, and Hawaii. This is a highly technical, mission-driven role for engineers who thrive in high- ownership environments and enjoy solving operational challenges directly alongsideend users.
Core Responsibilities
- Partner directly with users and stakeholders to understand operational challenges and design practical software solutions.
- Own features end-to-end from design and prototyping through deployment, systems integration, and production support.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, design, and operational teams to deliver scalable systems.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot technical issues, instrument systems, and continuously improve reliability.
- Make pragmatic engineering trade-offs balancing speed, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
- Travel up to 25–40% to deploy, field test, and support software in operational environments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 2–6 years of software engineering experience, ideally in customer-facing or forward deployed environments.
- Experience deploying software directly with customers or in field operations.
- Startup or small-team background with strong ownership and autonomy.
- Experience in defense, aerospace, or other complex technical environments strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Strong coding fundamentals with rigorous technical assessment expectations.
- Full-stack experience with Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++, Java, or related technologies.
- Active Secret security clearance required.
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving, mission-critical environments.
